Our church has been serving this neighborhood for over 100 years. Previously from western New York, our current pastor Mike has been our pastor for six years. Though small in numbers, we have a few young families and enjoy a mixture of contemporary praise songs and traditional hymns. We are seeking new families who are interested in serving our city through a number of different ministries.
The name "Wesleyan" was established in honor of John Wesley, a minister in the Church of England who inspired and founded the Methodist movement. An outstanding scholar, Wesley regarded himself as "a man of one book," the Bible. He taught that a Christian's assurance of his own salvation comes through faith. Originally formed in 1843, the Wesleyan Church is now headquartered in Indiana. There are 1,700 churches in the U.S., over 5,000 churches across the world in 90 different countries.
